Hello and welcome to my blog!
I originally started this blog because I felt like there was a need for more online support and information for people with Celiac Disease. I was diagnosed with it when I was 19 years old and I have done a lot of research and work with my diet and other aspects of my life to go from where I was at age 19 (diarrhea, gas, abdominal cramping, bloating, and lots of anxiety) to where I am today (still with a sensitive stomach but one that feels pretty great most of the time!). I want to do what I can to share my experience with all of you!
This blog has also become a source of information for you to learn about naturopathic medicine! I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) and am now a fully licensed naturopathic doctor in Ontario. To learn more about my practice, please visit my Naturopathic Medicine page.
My dream is to have a naturopathic practice with a focus in optimizing the health of women and their families during preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond! To deepen my knowledge in this area, I did an externship at a clinic called The World of My Baby, which has a focus in women’s health, pregnancy care, and pediatrics. I have also taken the doula course with the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors and am looking forward to gaining more experience working with pregnant women in the future. Check out my Doula Services page if you are considering having a doula present at your child’s birth.
Please remember that this blog is used to share general information and should not be used in the place of individualized medical care from your naturopathic doctor, family doctor, or other healthcare practitioner. This blog is purely the sharing of my ideas and I hope it inspires you to do your own research and develop your own ideas too!
I hope you enjoy my blog!
